For the first time in my life, I took a trip to a foreign place where I expected nothing more than to spend time with an amazing bro. Long ago, while still making early career choices, I remember having conversations about his opportunity to embrace a completely different culture at the expense of the company he serves. These conversations inevitably led him to travel overseas, where he would not only work for said company but also call a new place home. During that time, amidst my circumstances, promised that I would visit before his time in this country was up; I’m a man of my word.
Bravery, perseverance and a solid wit brings us to the present. Coming to Singapore on that sole promise is incomparable to any trips that I can possibly imagine. The man has bravely endured a total of 2+ years in a country where although surrounded by good company, still managed to gift him with a bit of homesickness. It felt surreal for me being able to see Singapore through his eyes, feel his current home through his shoes, and embrace the very essence of what it was like to be here…so far away from home.
We’re freaking far people bahahaaaa; we’re so far that night to Singapore is day to New York…an exact 12 hour different, where Singapore is the dimensional future. Anywhooo, the trip has been a blessing and I’ll be more than happy to share more about it within other blogs. I wouldn’t want to stuff one blog entry with soooooooooo many experiences.
Ongoing blessings & love to Rogeliooooo. There's more to conquer
If there’s one thing I learned that I can leave you with today…
Share love & understanding, and the world will gravitate towards you.
Oh, and jet lag is actually a thing.
