Many of you have asked me how I manage to do everything I do. I’m going to dedicate this blog entry to just that. It’s pretty easy to write down but very difficult to actually implement from day to day.
Guys, don’t shoot me! If you have a goal and the motivation to turn that dream into a reality, you’ll have to add some structure to what you do. Duh! We’ve been trained to follow a structure our entire lives and there comes a point where we can finally make the decision…
Do you choose to work under someone else’s structure (goal) or do you create your own?
I normally create my own. If you’re like me, you’ll have to work doing what you don’t like in order to fund what you love doing! Eventually, with time and dedication, what you love doing will fund itself.
Scheduling is an integral part to all of this. You have to set time aside for your lucrative passion. Yes, I said lucrative! I used that word because your passion should make you money at some point in your life. If it doesn’t, you’ll always be working under someone else's passion.
Sad story, I know.
So here it is. Write down what you want to accomplish and how. Write down an estimate of how much time it could possibly take to attain said accomplishment. Finally, schedule things out based on the time you have available outside of your mandatory work schedule.
Here’s the deal breaker…You have to schedule these items throughout the entirety of your time off.
Yes! This takes priority over everything else. Sacrifice is also key when scheduling.
I’ll finish by saying this:
Follow your schedule and don’t make excuses. If you make excuses to not do the work, then it really isn’t your passion…Or maybe you’re just a lazy person with no motivation to make your life less of a struggle.
Let’s get this chicken! Start scheduling your shyt out!! The next step is to, ACTUALLY, do do do!!!
The only thing that doesn’t fall from the sky is money; and if it does, you’re a stripper.
I guess that’s cool too. <(-__-)
